  • chose Yonezawa-cho 3-chome (at present, Higashi Nihonbashi 2-chome) as the site for his restaurant serving "Aigamo" cuisine,
  • which enjoyed the ardent recommendation of kabuki actor Onoue Kikugoro the 5th
  • and has been unsurpassed throughout history.
  • For over 100 years, and still to this day,
  • the flavor has not changed and has become renowned among many writers and artists.

Jan. 25, 2018 Notice: All Rooms to Be Non-Smoking
Thank you very much for your continued and exceptional patronage. Bearing in mind the recent moves to deal with the issue of second-hand smoke, and after careful consideration on our part, we have decided to make all rooms in our establishment non-smoking as of November 1st, 2017.
We apologize for the inconvenience that this will cause for our smoking guests. However, we are planning to remodel the second-floor smoking area, and we hope that you will make use of this area when it becomes available.
